A day spent out in the sunshine.  We rode the bike down into Yaletown this morning for something different.  I find riding along the flat seawall quite enjoyable at 7 months pregnant.  We stumbled upon a stationary locomotive at the Roundhouse Community Centre and decided to take a peek inside.  Oria didn’t want to leave the caboose.  She was driving us in that train many exciting places with all the knobs and wheels.

We were riding past a group of guys practicing tight rope walking and Oria yelled “stop the bike, I need to get off!” so I pulled over and let her out of her seat.  She walked confidently right up to the guys and watched them walk the line, mesmerized.  Then she asked if she could give it a try.  It took her a couple tries to get up the courage, and with my help she hopped up and took a step.  Brave little soul that one.  I just love her enthusiasm for life!

Sunny days, sweeping the clouds away…

A couple of beautiful days of weather in Vancouver.  Our little family made it down to Spanish Banks with the dogs for super low tide yesterday.  We flew the kite, it blew away, got super sandy, and packed away for next time.  Oria explored the beach, drank some of the ocean, was happy, then not so much when she realized how wet she got! I think we all had a lovely time.

This morning we woke up to another beautiful sunshine-y day! Oria and I hopped on the bicycle and wandered down to Yaletown.  We found a little park on the edge of False Creek.  Oria stopped to twirl around in her purdy new dress from Gemma.  So adorable.

We decided we needed some sugar and rode our bike through the downtown east side, and found ourselves a delicous Cartems Donut.  Mmmm…we, I mean, Oria ate a carrot cake one, it was delicous and covered in oats! I decided on venturing on a direction I’ve not yet been with the bike, east through Strathcona and over to Commercial Drive before turning home, for a rest!

Here are some of the shots of the last couple of days that make me smile:)

Whining.  Oria is getting all 4 eye teeth over the last week, and let me tell you, I’ve heard about it.  So much whining going on in this house, its awful, however our nights have been decent so I suppose I’d take daytime whining over horrible nights.

I have discovered a way to stop the whining and enjoy each others company though.  The bike! It sure does wonders for your pain, your mood and your day! These are some of the things we got up to and came across along our bike route.
