Boy, this rain has been going on for so long now, I’m starting to feel at a loss for fun things to do to keep a toddler entertained when you live in a tiny space, and have a husband who works from home.
Today the husband suggested hopping on a bus and taking it to the mall. The trip in itself is always an adventure. The mall, though entertaining for a few minutes ended up being pretty boring.
Sometimes you just have to dance in the rain!
And climb stairs.
Ride in elevators.
Stand on outdoor chairs.
And eat crepes.
We did all of these things, and then took the adventure back home on the bus. Pretty fun I’d say, and the toddler is having a good long nap now.
An Afternoon Adventure to Kitsilano Beach
We stepped out our door, walked 800 meters down Main Street, hopped on a bus, got off the bus 15 minutes later, hopped on another bus and exited at Kits Beach. Oria stomped in puddles and played in the sand, climbed logs and chairs, picked up sticks and rocks, then played on swings and slides. With a soaking wet bum and feet, we made the journey home (just so you know everything isn’t always roses with a 15 month old, the wet feet and bum did not go over well once the fun times at the park were over).
