Flashback Fridays
Here’s a couple oldies that weren’t even taken on a digital camera. This was a camping trip we took in 2007 to Mystic Beach on Vancouver Island. This little place is paradise and I hope we can get back there with the Littles one day. We made a bar we called Sherpa’s and here is Paul fixing us some bevvies right on the Pacific Ocean! And one of my love and I with our stunning view from our campsite.
Today is another very wet day in Van City, but our lovely pooch needed a good run in the woods, so we took him to the Canyon in the UBC endowment lands. Oria hiked the entire canyon on her own two feet. Thats quite a feat for anyone, let alone a two year old. Now our whole family needs a nap.
Life Lately.
We’ve been busy since we got home from our trip. Bike riding all over the place, a trip to the Vancouver Aquarium, picnic at Jericho Beach, and a hike up the Lynn Headwaters. I think we all could use some rest tonight! Its been lovely to spend so much time with my wonderful family. These are the best times spent.
Yesterday Jeff and I spent the day in Victoria without the babe. It was lovely to take the dog for a hike up Mount Finlayson. I think Fenway enjoyed hiking on a sunny afternoon something we used to do before Oria came along. (We still get out but its usually shorter distance and a more flat route).
After scaling rocks, catching our breath and breathtaking views, we ran down the mountain and headed to Spinnakers Brew Pub for a beer on the patio. Perfect way to spend the day!
