I’m trying to enjoy my morning coffee, but it goes cold while my kid rubs her blueberry and oatmeal stained face all over my legs and yells at me she wants up in my lap.
Now that its gone cold she’s disappeared to play by herself. I guess her mission was served and accomplished!
We’re Going Fishing!!
We decided today was the day we were going to find ourselves a new fish. We hopped on the bus into Kitsilano and stopped in at Noah’s Pet Arc to find a Siamese Fighting Fish. Of course all in the same block were cupcakes and sushi, two things we couldn’t pass up, so we took our new friend “Sushi” on a few adventures before taking the bus home.
Me: “Oria, what is the new fish name?”
Oria: “Sushi!!!!!!!”
We also had to stop for a little puddle dancing on the walk home from the bus stop.
The Roses caught my eye.
We rode our bike past this lovely bench, a husband dedicated to his wife as an anniversary gift 10 years ago. She loved walking along the seawall, so he gave her a beautifully inscribed place for her to sit down during her walk abouts. I stopped to have a look because I noticed a bouquet of roses on the bench. A gentleman out walking his dog said that this couple lived next to him, and they were recently on a trip to Budapest, when the wife slipped in the hotel, fell, broke her neck and died instantly-a week ago. Life can be short. You never know how you may go.
Take a moment to squeeze those you love.
She’s so much fun! Talking up a storm, running around, squealing with laughter, and of course catching every single detail of life that passes by us! When a toddler is in a good mood you really do have the most fun, of course come 7 pm on any given day, I’m about ready for a glass of wine, pajamas, the couch and possibly even bed.
